Lincoln College welcomes qualified undergraduate students from abroad to our campus. Our goal is to provide you with an opportunity for advanced study, as well as offer you a chance to contribute to our college community. At Lincoln College, our faculty and staff create a learning community that is welcoming to international students. It is the ideal place to begin your college experience. As a private college in a safe, attractive community located in Central Illinois, we offer opportunities that will help you develop academically and personally. Located just two hours from Chicago and St. Louis, Lincoln College students can travel to shop, watch professional sporting events, and visit some of the best museums in the United States. Apply as an International Student

Students come to Lincoln College from more than 13 different nations around the world. We will be recruiting in China as soon as this spring and India in the near future. As an international student here, you'll find a warm welcome and plenty of company.

Applying as an international student is easy, though the process is a bit different depending on whether you're applying as a freshman or as a transfer student. If you have questions along the way, please contact us.

Apply as an International Freshman

You should apply as a freshman if you have never attended college before. Here's what to do.

  1. Check our deadlines. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. For priority consideration, please submit your application as early as possible. For regular admission, submit your application no later than July 1.

  2. Submit the application.  Submitting an online application will expedite the admissions process, if you would prefer to apply on paper, you may download the Lincoln College Application below. Submit the US$25 fee with your application.
     
  3. Arrange for your official school transcripts to be sent to us. All freshman applicants are required to submit an official transcript from their secondary school. Academic transcripts in languages other than English must be accompanied by an official and certified English translation.

  4. Submit your test scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS).  International students attending high school in the USA must submit SAT or ACT scores with their application. They may also choose to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to strengthen their application. International students attending high school overseas must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores if English is not their native tongue. SAT/ACT scores are not required, only optional for overseas students.

  5. Submit the International Student Financial Statement (PDF 75KB). If needed, you may download directions for completing the financial statement.
