First-Time Students
Acceptance to Lincoln College is based on a student’s high school record and standardized test scores. In select cases, a personal interview and letters of recommendation are required. Students with an ACT composite score of 16 and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher may be admitted without restriction. Those with an ACT composite score of 15 or less may be admitted upon review by the Academic Review Committee.

Part-Time Students:

Students who plan to enroll in courses totaling 11 hours or less may enter the college at the beginning of any semester. Part-time students must adhere to the same requirements as first-time students for admission to the College.

Transfer Students:

Students who are transferring to Lincoln College from another college or university may enter the
College at the beginning of any semester. If they were on probation at the previous institution and/or
maintained less than a 2.00 (4.00 scale) grade point average, they may be admitted to Lincoln College
upon review by the Academic Review Committee or the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

International Students:

Students for whom English is a second language must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL) examination and have their scores sent to Lincoln College. Any international student with a
minimum score of 480 on the paper-based TOEFL or 157 on the computer-based TOEFL will be granted
admission to Lincoln College. Students whose scores are lower may be granted conditional acceptance
if space is available.

Re-Entry Students:

Students who have interrupted their studies at Lincoln College by not enrolling for one calendar year
or longer and wish to return must apply for readmission. Students who are readmitted must comply
with all requirements of the current course catalog for the campus they attend, must update their
demographic information, and must meet with an academic advisor to discuss current programs,
policies, and requirements.

Deposit and Refund Policies

A $25.00 application fee must be included with student’s application for admission to Lincoln College.
In addition, the college requires that a $125.00 enrollment deposit and, if residing in the resident halls,
a $125.00 housing deposit be paid upon acceptance to the College to guarantee housing and classroom
space. While the application fee is nonrefundable, the deposits are refundable until May 1 if students
decide not to attend Lincoln College.
