Student Alumni Leadership Council

The Lincoln College Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) is a new program being developed on both the Lincoln and Normal campuses.

Membership in the SALC is open to all Lincoln College students. If you’re interested in joining, send your name, class year, and cell phone number to Kerri Taylor, Alumni Relations and Special Events Coordinator. We would also like to have a few area alumni join SALC to serve as advisors and senior members of the council. Since this is a leadership group, the current students will learn skills from the alumni who serve as these senior members. Together, the council will do great things for the students and College community.

Alumni who would like to be a part of SALC should contact the alumni office as well to see the possibilities.

Members are required to attend general council meetings, participate in activities, and help the Advancement and Alumni office with events.

SALC works in conjunction with the Lincoln College Alumni office. The primary goal is to serve as agents or ambassadors to your peers. SALC will work together as a group to help plan, organize, and execute events on campus. SALC will also be charged with reminding students that their relationship with the College doesn’t end after graduation, rather a lifelong connection begins.

SALC will be responsible for assisting with plans for Homecoming (if and when it’s reborn), joining forces with Student Senate and Roteract for community food pantry projects, and helping create other exciting events and programs on campus, such as an alumni mentoring program.
