Lynx Split with Black Hawk

Lincoln College split a twin bill with Black Hawk here Tuesday afternoon, winning the opener 6-2 and dropping the nightcap, 5-12.
 
Lincoln College (3-11) broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of runs in the fifth inning and Matt Miller made it stand up with an outstanding pitching performance.   Miller worked six innings giving up four hits and one earned run while striking out two and walking two.  Jake Buchanan worked the final inning for Coach Tony Thomas. 
 
Mike Carnahan and Adam York each had two hits in three trips to the plate and each had a double.  Carnahan had three RBI and scored a run.
 
In the second game, Black Hawk put five runs on the board in the first inning and was never headed.  The winners pounded out 13 hits while LC had seven.   Scott Aeschleman was the starting a losing pitcher for the Lynx.  Darren Lewis, Kyle Bruce and Jarrad Otole also worked on the mound for LC.   Mike Jones had two hits in three trips with a triple and an RBI.  Jesus Zalladares was 2-2 for the Lynx.
 
Lincoln College will be at home Friday for a nine inning game against Lincoln Christian College.
