Doubleheader
Defeat for Lynx Quincy - John Wood scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Lincoln College, 6-5, in the opening game of a doubleheader here Thursday afternoon. The hosts then scored late in the second game to take a 7-3 victory, dropping the Lynx to 13-21 for the season and to 2-12 in conference play. Tyler Casson and Nick Meredith each had two hits for Lincoln College in the opening game while Adam York, Brad Hall and Alex Brown had one hit each. Ryan Driskill took the loss in relief. Matt Miller pitched the first five innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs with six strikeouts and four walks. In the second game, Rich Ennis suffered the loss, giving up four unearned runs in the sixth inning. Kidwell started, giving up just two hits and three runs, none earned, in 4 2/3 innings, with three strikeouts and three walks. Casson, Bakhus, Wright and Rynearson each had a hit for the Lynx.
