Rohrer To Suit Up For BlueboysLincoln College and LCHS alum, Jason Rohrer has chosen Illinois College as his next stop. Rohrer graduated from LCHS in 2008 and attended Culver Stockton. After the fall semester,
Rohrer transferred to Lincoln College. Rohrer split time at 1st base, 2nd base, and DH in his two year stint for the Lynx.
Rohrer on choosing IC, "I chose Illinois College because their overall Academic Programs are very strong and it gives me a great opportunity to continue on and get my degree. Illinois College also gives me the opportunity to play for a successful college baseball program, and get a chance to contribute right away for the team."
“Ironically, one of Jason’s homeruns came against Illinois College this year,” Lynx assistant coach Isaac Cox. “Jason is one of those guys you like to have on your club; great in the classroom, a great clubhouse guy, and just an overall good kid.”
Rohrer is going to major in education and hopes to teach and coach baseball.
"I haven't really finalized a career path in which I might take, but whatever my career ends up being after college I hope to succeed and give it all I got."
