Lynx 3-2 With Wins At Rend Lake Classic

INA - Lincoln College shot a blistering 58 percent (29-50) in downing Rend Lake here Saturday in the Rend Lake Classic, 74-70.    The victory gives the Lynx a 3-2 record while Rend Lake is 2-2.
 
Jeff Carlson led a balanced Lincoln College attack with 16 points followed by Rodney Williams with 14, and Aaron Williams with 12.     The Lynx had a 33-27 rebounding edge in the contest with Rueben Trotter leading the way with seven boards.   Tony Gulley contributed to the attack with seven assists in the contest.
 
Lincoln College made 16 of 26 field goals in the first half (61.5 percent) as they took a 38-32 half-time lead.   The Lynx cooled off a little in the second half as they connected at a 54 percent rate.   Rend Lake shot 49 percent from the floor and was led by David Inabnit with 16 points.
