Lincoln College Men Edge John Wood

David Pickering and PJ Keaton combined for 23 points as the Lincoln College men's basketball team edged John Wood, 59-57, Wednesday at Quincy.

Lincoln College overcame a chilly 31 percent field goal shooting percentage by outscoring the Trail Blazers 14-6 from the free-throw line.

Patrick Lepper scored 13 points to lead John Wood.

Lincoln College was founded in 1865 as Lincoln University, the only institution of higher education named for Abraham Lincoln during his lifetime.
