Lynx Head Coach – Carol Wilson

A graduate of Rushville High School, Coach
Wilson received her Bachelor of Science degree at Illinois
College and her Masters at the University of
Southern Mississippi.
Carol’s successful playing career began in high
school where her team finished 3rd in the state tournament.
She continued her playing career at Illinois
College where she was named the captain and most
valuable player for 3 years. Her career rebounding
record of 945 and single game record of 25 rebounds
still stand. Carol is also a member of the Illinois
College Hall of Fame.
Coach Wilson started her coaching career at
Brown County High School. At Brown, her team captured
2 conference titles, 2 regional championships
and a Sweet Sixteen appearance. Coach Wilson was
offered an opportunity at Taylorville High School and
accepted the challenge. While at Taylorville, her teams
went 114-11, won 4 conference championships, 3
regionals, 2 sectionals and placed runner-up in the
IHSA State Tournament in 1997.
Coach Wilson was offered the Head Coach position at Lincoln
College in 1998. She was named the co-regional coach of
the year for the 2004-2005 season. In addition to coaching,
she also is an instructor in the mathematics department at
the
college.
Coach Wilson
is constantly looking for players that would compliment
her
program. She has successfully been able to double her wins
by recruiting quality players. Coach Wilson and her husband
Loren have one daughter Ali.
