Parkland Defeats Lynx

The Lynx took on Parkland College on Saturday afternoon in Champaign. At the half Parkland had a 29-13 lead. They held on to that lead in the second half defeating the Lynx 58-41. Both teams shot about 76 percent from the free throw line, but the Lynx couldn't sustain a lead sinking only 15 of 56 shots (27 percent) from the field. This loss drops the Lynx to a 5-14 record.
 
Leading the Lynx were Sophomore Kanisha Pettis and Freshman Jessica Hamman. Both scored 11 points each. Hamman also grabbed 11 rebounds during the game.
