Lynx Lose to Carl Sandburg

The Lincoln College women's basketball team was unable to handle Carl Sandburg in action here Tuesday night as the visitors posted a 73-60 victory.
 
Lincoln College held an 18-16 lead at the half way point of the first half, however, Carl Sandburg outscored the Lynx 18-7 over the final 10 minutes to take control of the game.
 
Cook led the winners with 19 points while Kanisha Pettis and Eric Ernst each had 10 to lead the Lady Lynx.  Neither team shot free throws very well as Lincoln College made just 16 of 27 while Carl Sandburg shot just over 50 percent with 15 of 29.
 
Lincoln College (1-1) will play in the Kaskaski Classic Nov. 8 against Southwestern Illinois.
