Loss to Shawnee Drops Lynx to 3-5

CANTON - Shawnee used a strong second half to pull away from Lincoln College to record a 66-55 victory in the Spoon River Classic here Saturday afternoon.    The loss drops the LC record to 3-5 for the season.
 
The Lady Lynx were within two points, 24-22, at the half, however, they were unable to gain control in the second half.   The game stayed close until the final three minutes when Shawnee pulled away with free throw.   The winners connected on 25 of 30 attempts at the line.
 
Erica Ernst led the Lincoln College attack with 19 points, 14 coming in the second half.  Nicole Dearing added double figures with 15 and Nicole White chipped in with 11.  VanDyke led the Shawnee attack with 20 points and she was joined in double figures by Jennings with 13.
