One Point Loss to Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE - The Illinois College JV handed the Lincoln College Lady Lynx a one point, 44-43, setback here Wednesday dropping LC to 5-8 for the season.   Lincoln College has one game remaining against Elgin Saturday before the Christmas break.
 
Erica Ernst was the only Lincoln College player to reach double figures with 17 points on 7 of 12 shots from the floor and 3 of 4 from the foul line.   Ernst also tied for the team lead in rebounds with five.   Other points for the Lady Lynx were by Jessica Hamman with eight, Nicole White with six, Erica Rodgers with four, Becky Spears and Coretta Evans with three each and Brittany Ingram with two.
 
Lincoln College was 18 of 56 from the floor for 32 percent while Illinois College was 20 of 52 for 39 percent.  Illinois College held a 38-31 rebounding edge.   Both teams had trouble hanging onto the basketball as Lincoln had 29 turnover and Illinois College had 31.
