Tough Loss to Elgin

ELGIN - Lincoln College finished the first half of its basketball season on a losing note as Elgin handed the Lady Lynx a 65-48 setback here Saturday afternoon.  The loss drops the Lady Lynx to 5-9 for the season.
 
Elgin managed a 28-23 half-time lead and broke the game open in the second half with 37 points while holding Lincoln College to just 25 points.  Shelton led the second half surge as she scored 10 of her game high 12 points in the final 20 minutes.
 
Jessica Hamman scored eight points in each half to lead the Lynx with 16 points.   The Lynx were outscored 23-17 in field goals and 6-1 from three point land.
