Golf Team Places in Top Half of Invitational
CHAMPAIGN - Rock Valley won the Parkland Invitational men's golf tournament here Thursday with a team score of 300 on the Savoy course. Lincoln College finished with 314 for a team score, good enough for a seventh place finish. A total of 16 teams were entered in the tournament. Medallist for Coach B. J. McCullum was John Donovan with a round of 74, good for sixth place in the individual standings. Jason Fitzpatrick came in with a round of 77 while Todd VanArsdale finished a 79. Sam Fitzpatrick shot an 84 and Shane Thompson rounded out the scoring for the Lynx with a 90. Lincoln College will play in the John A. Logan tourney Saturday and Sunday in Marion. # # # # # |
