Golf Team Misses Victory - Two players out with illness

Jacksonville - The Lincoln College women's golf team finished with 407 strokes at the Links golf course here Monday and lost to Illinois College with a 378 total.   MacMurray College also entered several individuals but did not field a full team.

Ashley Specht shot her best round of the season with a total of  99 which tied teammate Sarah Morine for best score.   Carlie Facker finished with a 102 round while Lindsey Horath completed the LC team with a 107.

Coach Kirk Whiteman said, "Ashley played well today and we have a different girl shooting the best score every time we play.   We didn't have Amber Wright or Stacy Weaver today because of illness.   We just need to get everyone well and playing on the same day."
