Lincoln College Lady Golfer Meghan Dean Qualifies for Nationals

Meghan Dean

Lincoln, IL - October 2, 2007 - The Lincoln College Women’s Golf might have been disappointed by finishing third in the Region 24 Tournament, but Lincoln College freshman, Meghan Dean of Lincoln, qualified for a spot in the National Tournament. The tournament will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida in May 2008.

Dean had a two day total of 191 and she came up with the only par for the day on #18 to secure a spot at National’s.  Lincoln College Women’s Golf Coach, Carol Wilson said she was thrilled with the outcome.  “Meghan found a way to grind it out on the back nine and her chip shot on 18 she stuck a foot from the hole for the par putt.  I am very happy for Meghan and proud of the ladies for their efforts this weekend --they represented Lincoln College in fine fashion!” said Wilson.
