the Coach!
This is Coach Massena's fourth year as the head coach at Lincoln
College. Coach Massena graduated from Greenville College where
he played soccer for the varsity team and received his degree in
Elementary Education.
His playing career includes travels to Ireland
and Northern Ireland to play against semi-professional teams.
He also played in the Pacific Coast Soccer League with the Abottsford
United Under 21 team located in Abottsford, Canada. Coach Massena
has been the head coach for club soccer teams ranging from U-13
to U-17.
He gained college-coaching experience as an assistant
at Greenville College. Before taking the head-coaching job
here at Lincoln College he worked at an inner city school in St.
Louis,
Missouri. His duties include all of the day to-day operations,
recruiting and training the field players.

Daniel Merida is entering his first season as associate head coach with Lincoln College. Merida joins the coaching staff with an Advance National Diploma from NSCAA and 5 years of coaching experience at the club and high school level in Miami, Fl.
Prior to coming to Lincoln Merida coached at South Kendall Soccer from 05-09. Merida also coached at Miami Palmetto High School in 05-07. In 2008 Merida joined Miami Killian High School, in his first season he lead Killian to an undefeated regular season, District Champions and Regional Finalist.
A 2007 graduate of Florida International University, Merida received a B.S. in Sports Management / Physical Education. He also was a member of the Golden Panthers soccer team. Merida has professional experience in Guatemala playing with Sanarate FC and Municipal FC.
Coach Danny will be in charge recruiting, assisting in running of practices, and off-season activities. Danny brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and will help to build on the success of the Lynx soccer program. |
