This is Coach Massena's 8th year as the head coach at Lincoln College. Coach Massena graduated from Greenville College where he played soccer for the varsity team.  His playing career includes travels to Ireland and Northern Ireland with the Athletes in Action Men's team.  He also played in the Pacific Coast Soccer League with the Abottsford United Under 21 team located in Abottsford, Canada. Coach Massena was the assistant coach at Greenville College in 2000-2001.  Before taking the head-coaching job here at Lincoln College he worked at an inner city school in St. Louis, Missouri while coaching club teams ranging from u-13-u-17.  . His duties include all of the day to-day operations, recruiting and training the field players.

Coach Massena has a bachelors degree in Education From Greenville College and a Masters Degree in Sports Management from American Public University. 

He resides in Lincoln with his wife Olivia and their two children Gianna and Luc.

 


Assistant Coach Brad Ward

Asst Coach Brad Ward

This is Coach Ward's 5th year with the team and 4th year coaching under coach Massena. Coach Ward graduated from Lincoln College in the spring of 2008. Coach Ward's first year with the team was spent being a manager and learning more about the game from Coach Massena. The past four years he has been an assistant coach and doing all strength and conditioning for the team. Originally from Oak Park, Coach Ward resides in Lincoln 9 months out of the year.
Assistant Coach Cole Johnson

Coach Johnson is in his first year at Lincoln College. He graduated from Garden City Community College in 2007. His playing career includes playing at Division 1 Western Illinois University for a year and a half where in 2005, during his freshmen season, they won the Mid-Continent Conference Championship. Coach Johnson also played for Garden City for the '06 and '07 seasons where his team made it to the Region 6 semifinals each year. Before taking the assistant coaching job here at Lincoln College he was a program assistant at an elementary school in Macomb, Il while helping to coach multiple Macomb Soccer Club teams.
