LC Soccer Garners More Post Season Awards

Lincoln, IL – The Lincoln College Men’s Soccer team is piling on more individual awards after the best season in the college’s history. The Lynx won the Mid West Athletic Conference, Region 24 and Region 24 Tournament for the second consecutive season with an overall record of 17-3, 8-0 in Region 24 and 5-0 in the MWAC. With the teams’ success, the Lynx placed six players on the All-Conference team of which two players were named Player of the Year. Also, Head Coach Ben Massena was named Conference Coach of the Year.

The Men’s Soccer team is fresh off their Region 24 Championship win against Illinois Central College. Lincoln (ranked #13 in the Nation) travels to take on MCC Maple Woods (12-3-3) in Kansas City for the district final. The winner of the district final advances to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.
