– John Andrews

Coach Andrews was a three sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball while attending Lincoln Community High School. Andrews was named to Chicago Today’s all state football team his senior year. He was also selected by the Montreal Expos in baseball’s summer free agent draft. John attended Lincoln College and Iowa State University before being selected by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of baseball’s major league winter draft
This is Coach Andrews’ sixth year as head coach
for the Lady Lynx softball team. "I approach everyday with the
idea of helping young people manage the challenges ahead of them."
John and his wife Deb reside in Lincoln and have three grown children John Thomas, Brett, and Carlee.

Assistant Coach – Crystal
Wurth
Coach Wurth grew up in Lincoln, Illinois and
attended Lincoln Community High School and Lincoln College.
While at LC she lettered in volleyball and softball. Crystal
then transfered to Webster University in St. Louis where she earned
a Bachelor's Degree in secondary education with a minor in history
and political science. She also lead the Webster softball
team to two consecutive NCAA tournaments. Her overall individual
pitching record while at WU was 52-11. Crystal was the team
MVP for 2001 and 2002. Since college, Crystal has been coaching
locally and offers private pitching lessons as well. This
is her fourth year as assistant coach for the Lynx. She resides
in Beason, Illinois with her husband Lewis and sons, Aden and Brenden.
Assistant Coach - Nichole Laylock
Nichole grew up in Forsyth, Illinois where she
attended Maroa-Forsyth High School. She was a member of the varsity
softball team freshman through her senior year, which led her to
Lincoln College in 2004 to play for the Lady Lynx. Nichole earned
her associate's degree in Liberal Arts at Lincoln College and is
currently attending UIS Springfield for her bachelor’s degree. Her
love for the game has driven her to participate as a coach for the
Lady Lynx Softball team. When Nichole isn't coaching she serves
as an Adult Resident Hall Counselor in the resident halls.
