Lynx Drop Two to Lakeland MATTOON - Lakeland handed the Lincoln College softball team a double setback here Sunday afternoon, winning the first game 7-3, and taking the nightcap, 3-1. Norissa Stetter continued her hot hitting in the first game by collecting three hits for Coach John Andrews. Jennifer Clemings and Katie Meikle each had a pair of hits for the Lady Lynx. Amanda Chrisos (4-5) was the losing pitcher. Nicole Dearing connected for two hits in the second game to raise her batting average to 519 for the season. Erin Kuta and Meikle had the only other hits for the Lynx. Kelly Nader (3-5) was the losing pitcher for the Lynx. Lincoln College stands at 3-5 in conference play and 7-11 overall. Lincoln College plays at Lewis and Clark Tuesday afternoon. # # # # # |
