Team Drops to John Wood QUINCY - John Wood handed the Lincoln College softball team a pair of defeats here Tuesday afternoon, winning the first game, 8-1, and taking the nightcap, 8-2. John Wood pounded out 14 hits in the first game and scored four times in the second and three more in the third to put the game out of reach., Amanda Chrisos (6-7) took the loss with two strikeouts and one walk allowed. Jenna Clayton was the lone LC player to record two hits. In the second game, the host scored three times in the first inning and were never headed. Coach John Andrews said, "Kelly (Nader) threw a pretty good game as she is battling a sore elbow. We did not give her much defensive support as we made six errors. She allowed just three earned runs." Lincoln College now stands at 4-8 in conference play and 11-15 overall. Courtney Baumann had a pair of hits to lead the Lynx hitting in the second game.
