Lynx Advance in Region 24 Tourney

The Lincoln College softball team defeated Spoon River twice in action Monday and will next play Parkland at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the Region 24 tournament. The Lynx won the opener by a 2-1 score and took the nightcap, 4-2.

Amanda Chrisos threw a five hitter in the opener to gain the victory. Lincoln banged out four hits, one each by Beth Smith, Nicole Dearing, Courtney Baumann and Christie Frasco.

Dearing had a pair of hits to lead a seven hit attack in the second game. Kelly Nader went the distance and picked up the victory. Smith, Stetter, Baumann, Kuta and Clayton each had one hit for Coach John Andrews.
