Softball Team Academic All American Status

Lincoln, IL - July 30, 2009 - John Andrews - head coach of the Lady Lynx softball program at Lincoln College is pleased to announce that the 2008-2009 Lincoln College softball team earned Academic All American honors with a team GPA of 3.51. The team placed 6th among DII softball teams sanctioned by the NJCAA. The top team GPA was 3.71, just to give you an idea of how the girls compared to the leading team. Congratulations to the Lady Lynx Softball Team.

Several players of the softball team were also honored with individual awards.

• Carla Passini earned Distinguished Academic All American status with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
• Rhiannon Speckhart earned Academic All American with a 3.77 GPA.
• Lara Dawson earned Academic All American with a 3.73 GPA.
• Samantha Rapp earned Academic All American with a 3.71 GPA.
• Amber Wilson earned Academic All American with a 3.62 GPA
