This
is Coach Tippett’s seventh year as head coach of the Lincoln College Volleyball program.
Mark
Tippett has brought a high level of excellence to his program,
both in the classroom and on the court.
Coach Tippett has set three main goals
for the team. First, he wants to make sure all of the players
achieve academically to the best of their ability. Next,
he intends to have his team represent Lincoln College well
and perform competitively on the court. And finally, it is
his desire to have all participants in the program find
it an enjoyable experience.
"I believe Lincoln College is a wonderful
choice for any student athlete. The goals I have set for
the volleyball program have been attainable because of the
supportive, positive atmosphere students find at LC. I have
thoroughly enjoyed coaching at Lincoln College and look forward
to continued success in the future." In addition to coaching
the volleyball team, Tippett is a full time professor in
the LC English Department and also teaches Introduction to
Education.
Before joining Lincoln College, Tippett
was the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Lincoln Christian College.
While at LCC, Tippett contributed to the success of the Angels
appearing in the 1998 NCAA Division 2 tournament, in which
they achieved their goal by becoming the National Champions.
Tippett holds a B.A. degree in English
from Millikin University. He and his wife, along with their two
daughters, live in Lincoln.
