Lynx Stunned by Black Hawk

Black Hawk East stunned the Lincoln College volleyball team at Lincoln Saturday by taking the match in three straight games. Black Hawk East won by scores of 30-23, 30-24, 30-18.  Lincoln College had beaten Black Hawk East earlier in the year at Black Hawk. The loss drops the Lynx to 6-4 for the season. They will be at home Monday for a conference match up against Lewis & Clark at 6 p.m.

" We just didn't show up to play Saturday," said Coach Mark Tippett. "We did not pass the ball well and that stopped us from being able to compete in the match. Our players simply did not perform anywhere close to the level they are capable of playing. I hope this week we can return to the fundamentally sound style of play I saw earlier in the season."

Danielle Crum had eight kills and two blocks while Spencer Hall had a pair of kills and three points. Victoria Tuttle was credited with one kill and three points while Mackenzie Clark had nine set assists to lead the Lynx.
