Despite Loss Coach Pleased with Effort

The Millikin JV squad defeated Lincoln College 24-30, 30-14, 30-21, 30-23 in volleyball action at Lincoln Wednesday night dropping the LC record to 2-9 for the season. 
   
Jessica Livezey led the Lynx with nine points, seven kills and two blocks while Melissa Brassard was credited with seven blocks, seven kills and seven digs.  Kristin Majka added eight kills and 12 digs while Maggie Noldan had 25 set assists and five points.
 
"I was pleased with our effort and our defensive play against a strong Millikin team," said Coach Mark Tippett.  "We gave a much better effort tonight than we did Monday and we played pretty well."
 
Lincoln College plays at Lincoln Land in Springfield Thursday night and returns home against Illinois College Tuesday.
