LC Coach Mark Tippett:
I could not be more proud of the way our team played this weekend. We had some very tough matches in pool play where we had to make adjustments and battle teams that knew how to defend. In three of the six matches we played we dropped the first game then came back to win the second game forcing a deciding game to 15. Each time we were able to make plays when the pressure was on to win the match. The champoinship match against Black Hawk was well played on both sides and saw several long volleys that demonstrated what a high level both teams were ready to play. I am especially happy for our sophomores seeing as last season we did not make it out of pool play at this tournament. To return this year and win the whole thing shows how far they have come as a team.
The Lady Lynx play two conference matches on the road this week. They are at Danville on Monday and at #9 ranked Parkland on Tuesday.
Note: LC has now exceeded Coach Tippett's previous best win total of 21 wins in a season. This is Coach T's 7th season at LC.
