Vincennes then downed the Lynx in their final match by scores of 30-17, 30-19, 30-20. Coach Mark Tippett said, "It was a long day on Friday, our passing was poor and we did not communicate well on offense or defense. We did bounce back to pick up two solid wins on Saturday. The Illinois Valley match went five games and it took a lot out of us as we had no rest period before playing Vincennes. Overall, I was pleased with the effort we put forth and I am sure our players had fun." Danielle Crum had 40 blocks, 28 kills and 25 points in the tourney to lead the Lynx while Kristin Majka had 25 kills, 12 digs and 22 points. Erica Lill came in with 29 kills and 21 blocks; Amber Stewart had 15 kills and 12 blocks; Samantha McCoy had 32 digs and 22 points and Rosie Miller had 67 set assists and 38 points. Lincoln College will return to action at home Wednesday and Thursday with John Wood at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Carl Sandburg at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. # # # # # |
