Serving Stifles Lynx

Springfield College defeated Lincoln College in volleyball action at Lincoln Wednesday night in four games.  SCI took the first two games 30-24, 30-27, before Lincoln rebounded to win the third game 30-23.   Springfield College then dominated action in the fourth game, 30-12.

Coach Mark Tippett said, "Service errors really hurt us tonight, especially in the first two games.  If we could have got our serves in, I think it would have been a different story.   We played good defense and played well in all areas except in serving.  We were a little rusty, not having played since the death of Melissa (Brassard), and we played with a heavy heart."

Christy Raymer contributed eight points and eight set assists while Kristin Majka had 11 kills and eight points.   Laura Hecht had a total of seven kills and three points and Ashley Hanson had four digs.

Lincoln College will be in action Thursday against Carl Sandburg at 6:30 in the Lincoln College gym.
