Lynx Fall to Kaskaskia and Joliet in Weekend Play

Lincoln College lost to Kaskaskia and Joliet during the weekend tournament held at Lincoln College. They fell in three sets to Kaskaskia with a score of 15-30, 19-30, 24-30. The game against Joliet fell 21-30, 15-30, 19-30.

In the weekend games Beth Applen had 6 points and 20 set assists; Danielle Crum 5 blocks, 7 kills; Misty Frye 3 kills, 9 points, 2 blocks; Lacey Guilluame 12 digs, 4 points; and Chelsea Faith 8 kills, 2 blocks, 6 digs.

Coach Tippett said, “We lost to two very good teams. We were pretty much overmatched by the height and athleticism of both teams. We weren’t able to compete very well score-wise. But I was very pleased with the attitude we played with, as far as intensity and not giving up. We just weren’t physically able to compete with either team.”

Sophomore night is Tuesday night the 25th vs. Carl Sandburg, the last home game.
