Two members of the Lincoln College volleyball team earned post season honors. Sophomore middle hitter Kristen Mahoney from Pendleton, IN was named to the NJCAA Region 24 All-Region second team and was recognized by the Mid West Athletic Conference (MWAC) by being named to the first team All-Conference squad. Mahoney, a 2007 MWAC 2nd team selection, helped the Lady Lynx to their 27-17 record by leading the team in kills (290), blocks (109), and aces (29). Kristen, who is a nursing major, will continue her volleyball career at Indiana University East next season.

Freshman outside hitter Gretchen Rieger from Trenton, IL was also a second team All-Region selection as well as earning her way on to the MWAC second team All-Conference list. Rieger was a standout performer in all facets of the game for LC. She was second on the team in kills with 239, first in digs (370), and she recorded 20 aces to go along with a .97 serving percentage.

LC Coach Mark Tippett: Kristen and Gretchen are both deserving of post season honors. Kristen has been a true team leader for us and an integral part of the sucess we have enjoyed during the past two seasons. Gretchen Rieger did everything I asked her to do this year and then some. She was the only player in our system who played all the way around, and I could always count on her to give 100% at all times. I am very proud of both of these players, and I am pleased they have been recognized for their achievements.
