Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth

SUGAR GROVE - The Lincoln College men's cross country team placed fourth in the eight team field with Harper College taking the title.       

Freshman Clint Wombles was the top runner for LC with a ninth place finish in a time of 29:20 for the eight mile race.  Other placings for Lincoln College were Ryan Maisenbacher (Williamsville) 16th in 31:11; Mario Willbourn, 18th in 31:12; Jordan Gerard, 21st in 32:16; Mark Shannahan, 22nd in 32:22; Rob Dudgeon (Olympia), 30th in 32:55 and Russ Holstine, 39th in 35:22.

The women's team title went to St. Francis College and Lincoln College was unable to field a full team, therefore did not qualify for points.   Three Lynx runners were in the field with Jeanie Mills finishing the 5K race in 21:45, good for a seventh place finish.  Toni Ortega (Pekin) placed 12th in 23:04 and Mary Daum (Illini Central) placed 17th in 23:20.
