Men and Women Finish 2nd at Region 24 Meet The men's and women's cross country team finished 2nd at the Region 24 cross country. The women were lead by two-time Region 24 champion Dana Griffin whose winning time of 20:37 paced the race. Other top twenty finishers were Anita Swift (10th), Braydon Griffin (11th), Bridget Dietz (17th), and Gabrielle LeFavre (19th). The men were led by Eric Deters. His time of 27:21 was only 6 seconds off the course record and placed him fifth. Others in the top twenty were Jordan Parsons (9th), Tony Trubich (14th), Mike Verre (15th) and Tim Jenkins (18th). Coach Herron said, "I am pleased at the effort our teams gave today, I think they fought the whole race. I can't say enough good things about this group of incredible young men and women. Now we have to prepare for Nationals, I know they will be up for the challenge." # # # # # |
