Cross Country Teams perform well at Illinois Intercollegiate Meet The men and women’s cross country team performed well at the Illinois Intercollegiate Meet in Normal, Illinois over the weekend. This was the first year for this meet. There were schools from every division there, ranging from D1 to junior colleges. Coach Herron said,” I thought our team gave a great effort tonight. There were a lot of p.r.’s on both teams. They raced the whole time and that’s all you can ask for. I know we did not have are number one our three girl tonight but other athletes picked it up. This will help us later in the year. The guys did what I knew they could do. There was just over a minute between our number one and five runner, that is awesome.” The Lynx will compete this Friday at Credit Island in Davenport, IA. The men will start off the racing at 5 p.m. followed by the women at 5:45 p.m.
