Brisssman-Lundeen Invite The Lincoln cross country team competed at the Brissman-Lundeen Invite hosted by Augustana College over the weekend. There were close to 800 runners and over 40 different schools represented. The Lynx placed 17th and the Lady Lynx placed 22nd. Coach Herron said,” The heat slowed us down this weekend but it slowed every down. I still think we did a fine job on both sides. I saw a lot of hard work and determination out there. This will help us as we move in to the end of our season.” Placing in the top 150 for the Lynx was Chris Matthews (66),Kyle Stayley (92),Jordan Jennings (122) and Mike Cooper (138). Placing in the top 150 for the Lady Lynx was Brittany Carpenter (140). The cross country team will next compete at the Millilin Fast Times XC Challenge held at Hickory Point Golf Course in Forsyth,Illinois on October 5th. The women will race at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 5:45 p.m.
