Illinois Wesleyan Invite

The Lincoln College track team got off to a great start over the weekend at the 20 team Illinois Wesleyan Invite. Placing in the top eight for the women was the distance medley relay of Maddie McGuire, Brittany Briney, Whitney Nickens, and Elle Reiner (7th), and Alissa Patient in the shot (7th). Placing in the top eight for the men was Isaac Provitt in the 55 dash (2nd),Isaac Provitt in the 200 (5th),Evan Kreiling in the 5000 (8th), Donell Bluford in the 55 hurdles (7th), the 4x400 of Craig Hall, Quinton Musgrow, Derek Shelton, and Poiter Evans (5th), the distance medley relay of Greg Staley, Poiter Evans, Jawon Smith, and Stefan Huber (7th), Lawrence Hardin in the high jump (1st, achieved D1 provisional qualifinging), and Quinton Musgrow in the long jump(2nd). Coach Herron said,” I was  pleased at how well we did. We were the only two year school there and we had several in the top eight. This was a very big meet and we showed that we can compete at a very high level. Coach Lowe and myself are very excited for the rest of the season.”
