Music
Lincoln College offers a variety of opportunities in the Music Department. Courses in music include private piano, voice, and instrumental lessons, Foundations in Music, and Music Theory. There are also performance groups student's can join. These groups include the following.

Lincoln College Chorale
This is a mixed choir of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass voices. The Chorale prepares a variety of musical styles, including classical, folk and spiritual works. This ensemble is open to all students, without audition, and is available for academic credit.

Chamber Singers
This ensemble is an auditioned group of mixed voices. The Chamber Singers performs a variety of styles, including a cappella selections of both classical and contemporary genres. This group performs frequently at off-campus events throughout the community. Participation in Chamber Singers is available for academic credit.

Show Choir
This ensemble is an auditioned group of mixed voices. The Lincoln College Show Choir performs contemporary music of musical theatre and popular tunes. It incorporates choreography and vocals with costumes, lighting, set design and live accompaniment. Show Choir is available for academic credit.

Jazz Ensemble
Is the premiere instrumental ensemble on campus. This large ensemble of diverse instruments focusing on works of classic and contemporary jazz ensemble literature, designed for students who wish to perform Big Band and other Jazz repertoire. They present concerts and perform in festivals with other jazz musicians from across the state.

Jazz Combo
Is an auditioned group for more serious jazz studies. Students will work in small jazz combinations of a rhythm section and a maximum of four lead players. Music will be chosen to reflect various styles. Students will develop skills in ensemble playing and improvisation and will be encouraged to both arrange and compose for their ensemble. Members of this ensemble perform in festivals and concerts throughout the state.
