Dance Scholarship Criteria
Scholarships are available for students
proficient in technique and can be applied for through the audition
process. To be considered for a dance scholarship students
must select an option for auditioning.
Option 1
- Participate
in a brief ballet barre exercise taught by the instructor.
- Present
a two
minute center combination in any dance style (ballet,
modern, jazz, lyrical, or tap) which best demonstrates
technical abilities.
Option 2
- Submit a recent video taped copy of a
performance in a ballet barre combination and a center combination
of choice.
- Send at least one letter of recommendation
from a current instructor.
- Participate in an
interview.
Students, who are awarded a dance scholarship,
are encouraged to enroll in dance technique classes each semester.
Students are
also required to participate in the Lincoln College Dance Force
productions as both a choreographer and a performer.
