A student must maintain enrollment in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be considered a full-time student. Financial aid awards, as well as eligibility for residency in College housing, are based on full-time status. Sixteen credit hours is considered an average load for a student, and a student must have the permission of the academic advisor to enroll in more. A student will not be permitted to enroll in more than 18 credit hours in any semester without the written permission of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Course Overload Request forms are available in the Office of Academic Affairs.
