ACT Compass Test and Placement
Students with an ACT math score of 25 or less who are taking a college math course for the first time must take the ACT Compass math test. Your math course placement is based on your Math ACT and ACT Compass score. These scores assist the Math Department in placing you in a course in which you have the greatest chance of being successful. It is important to take this testing seriously. Students whose combined scores are near the next level of courses are allowed a second opportunity to “test-out” and enroll in a higher-level course.
