Pre-Nursing Faculty
Faculty members teaching pre-nursing courses have advanced degrees in the areas of their specialization. Teaching is the primary focus of their work, so no sections are taught by “teaching assistants.” The institution’s full time faculty is joined by community health professionals to deliver some courses.
Currently Microbiology and Chemistry are taught by Dr. Pamela Moriearty, who joined the Lincoln College faculty after many years on the faculty of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (Dr. Moriearty is also an advisor for pre-nursing students). Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, and Medical Terminology are taught by Dr. Daniel Dodd, a local clinician.
Other required and elective courses are taught by faculty in the Science Department, Mathematics Department or the Social Sciences Division.
