LC Men’s Basketball Pick Up Win at Lewis & Clark / Simpson Drops 36

The Lincoln College men’s basketball team traveled to Lewis & Clark On Monday, November 26 and picked up a 95-72 win to move to 7-3 on the season. Aaron Simpson (North Chicago, IL) poured in 36 points on 12 of 17 shooting including 3 of 5 from three. Simpson was 9-for-10 from the charity stripe. JoVaughn Gaines (Gurnee, IL) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for Lynx. Andrew Jordan (Peoria, IL) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sam James (Rockford, IL) added 10 points off the bench.
LC led by only two points (39-37) at intermission but lit up the scoreboard in the second half outscoring Lewis & Clark 56-35. The Lynx got to the foul line 43 times in the game and converted 37 of them for a blistering 86%. LC also held the rebounding advantage 51-28.
The men will be in action again this weekend at the John Wood Classic in Quincy, IL. They will take on Blackhawk East, who are coached by former Lincoln College coach BJ McCullum, on Friday at 5:30pm. On Saturday, they will face State Fair CC at 6:00pm.
