LC Men’s Basketball Sign Two Players

Lincoln, IL – Lincoln College head basketball coach Pat Lepper has signed Xavier Martin and Jagger Anderson to National Letters of Intent.  The duo joins the Lynx for the 2013-14 season.

LC Men Drop Season Finale at Parkland

Champaign, IL – The Lincoln College Men’s basketball team traveled to Parkland College for their final regular season game this past Saturday.  The Lynx jumped out to an early 10 point lead in the first half, led by some great early effort by Andrew Jordan and Avery Perry.  Parkland stormed back to cut the Lynx lead to 31-28 at the half.

LC Men’s Basketball Fall to #10 Rend Lake on Sophomore Night

Lincoln, IL – The men’s basketball team hosted #10 ranked Rend Lake College last night, which was also the final home game for sophomore’s Sam James (Rockford, IL), Desmond Rush (Centralia, IL) and Julio Velendia Saurez (Duitama, Columbia).

Lynx Defeat ICC 68-59

Lincoln, IL – The Lincoln College men’s basketball team defeated ICC 68-59 at home on February 6.  Aaron Simpson (North Chicago, IL) led LC with 25 points including 10-for-12 from the free throw line.  JoVaughn Gaines (Gurnee, IL) added 15 points and Courtney Jones (Chicago, IL) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

LC Men’s Basketball Fall To Danville

Danville, IL – The Lincoln College men’s basketball team went on the road to Danville and came away with an 80-73 loss.  Kendall Wesley (Chicago, IL) led the Lynx with 21 points and seven assists.  JoVaughn Gaines (Gurnee, IL) added 14 points, Courtney Jones (Chicago, IL) had 13 points, and Andrew Jordan (Peoria, IL) had 11 points.  Chris Davis (Springfield, IL) led LC with 12 rebounds.

LC Men’s Basketball Drop Tough One On Road To ICC 86-80

East Peoria, IL – The Lincoln College men’s basketball team dropped a road conference game 86-80 to ICC.  Andrew Jordan (Peoria, IL ) led LC with 20 points.  JoVaughn Gaines (Gurnee, IL) and Aaron Simpson (North Chicago, IL) added 14 points apiece followed by Kendall Wesley (Chicago, IL) with 11 opints.  Jordan added a team-high nine rebounds.  Jalen McCaskill (Richton Park, IL) pulled down eight rebounds. 

Lincoln College will travel to Danville to take on DACC on Saturday, February 2.  Tip-off follows the women’s game at approximately 7:30pm

LC Men Open Conference Play with 57-55 Win Over Parkland

Lincoln, IL – The Lincoln College men’s basketball team held home court and opened MWAC play with a 57-55 win over #18 Parkland at Jack D.

LC Men’s Basketball Open 2nd Semester With Win in OT

Quincy, IL – The Lincoln College men’s basketball team traveled to Quincy, IL to take on the Quincy University JV squad and came away with an 83-82 overtime win.  Aaron Simpson (North Chicago, IL) led Lincoln with 23 points followed by Courtney Jones’ (Chicago, IL) 19 points.  The win upped the Lynx overall record to 11-7.  Their next game is at Lincoln College on Saturday, January 19 in a Midwest Athletic Conference contest against Parkland.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm.
