LC Men’s Soccer Come Up Short to #13 Lincoln Land Community College
Lincoln College men’s soccer team dropped a Region 24 game to #13 Lincoln Land Community College on Tuesday night.
Lincoln Land scored first off a long ball that was flicked over Lincoln’s keeper. Despite having several good chances and having a slight edge in possession Lincoln trailed at half 1-0. Lincoln would tie it up with 7 minutes left in the match, however with just over a minute to play, Lincoln surrendered a free kick that Lincoln Land headed into the goal for a 2-1 lead and eventual win.

LC Men’s Soccer Score Region 24 Win
Lincoln College men’s soccer team defeated Region 24 opponent Southwestern Illinois College by the score of 1-0 on Saturday, September 15.
Lincoln opened the scoring in the third minute when Cody Winter (New Rose, NY) chipped a ball to Diego Rodriguez (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) who cut a defender and slotted a ball past the SWIC keeper. That would be the only scoring in the match despite Lincoln keeping possession for the majority of the time and out shooting SWIC.
That puts Lincoln 2-1 in Region 24 play and 6-2 overall.
