LLCC Take Two From Lynx in Softball

Springfield, IL – The Lady Lynx softball team dropped two games to Lincoln Land on Saturday, March 23 dropping the first game by a score of 12-3.  Darrian Chrzanoski (Danville, IL) and Gretchen Stenger (Tuscola, IL) contributed a hit apiece.  Kelsey Prater (Salyersville, KY) (0-3) took the loss for the Lynx. 

In game two, the score was tied at eight headinginto the bottom of the 6th inning before the Loggers plated three runs to take the win.  Sarah Garrison (Glenarm, IL) (1-2) too the loss on the mound for the Lynx.  Lincoln College scored eight runs on 12 hits.  Chrzanoski went 2-for-4 including a double.  Stenger, Ellie Riggs (Raymond, IL), Kylee West (Danville, IL), and Taylor Hewitt (Manlius, IL) contributed a hit each.  Lohgan Bryant (Danville, IL) went 2-for-3 including a double while Jessica Dorgan (Almond, WI) hit for the cycle.  The final score was 11-8. 

The Lynx drop to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

LC Softball Drop Two at Heartland

Normal, IL -  The Lady Lynx Softball team faced the Heartland Hawks Friday afternoon at the Corn Crib.  Jordyn Steiner (1-1) took the loss in the first game allowing 7 hits, 6 walks and 6 strikeouts.  Jessica Dorgan lead off the second inning with a triple down the right field line.  Katie Jimison got Dorgan in on a suicide bunt to score the first run for the Lynx.

LC Softball Announce Hiring of Assistant Coach

Lincoln, IL – Lincoln College recently announced the hiring of Randy Lercher as assistant softball coach. 

Lercher is a native of Lincoln, IL where he graduated from Lincoln Community High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College focusing on Business Management.  Lercher is entering his first year as the Offensive Coach for the Lady Lynx.
