LC Coach Mark Tippett: This was our first match playing without LaTasha Fizer (Romeoville, IL – injury), and I was encouraged by the way our players handled the new lineup. Morgan Lesher moved to middle and did a fantastic job as did Kelly Anderson who also moved to middle to cover for Beth Daniels. Beth was limited in her mobility so she played left side in this match, also a first for her. Despite the changes, we were able to play competitive volleyball against a good team. We held leads in all three of the sets we lost, but could not close out down the stretch. Most of the problems were due to unforced errors such as missed serves or ball handling errors. It is always disappointing to lose a match you had a chance to win, but on this night, it was encouraging to see that, even with our injury status, we can still put ourselves in position to win matches.
Lincoln College will host the Millikin University JV team on Thursday, September 20th for a 6:00 pm match.
