LC Coach Mark Tippett: The scores may not reflect it, but we put forth a solid effort tonight. Parkland was just a little sharper on defense than we were and they seemed to find a way to win the longer rallies which kept us from building any momentum. We knew they would serve a lot of short serves at us and we were prepared with passers in position for them, but we just didn’t execute well enough to stop them from going on runs of points. I was encouraged by our ability to hang in against a top 10 opponent. It will be interesting to see how much we can improve over the course of the season and hopefully get a chance to play them again in the Region 24 playoffs.
Lincoln College will travel to Burlington, IA September 14th & 15th to participate in a round robin event at Southeastern Community College.
