Teaching Enrichment at the Museum
We encourage schools to use our museum to facilitate the learning in the classroom. Museum staff has initiated a program called the T.E.A.M. project (Teaching Enrichment At the Museum). This includes a multi-age and multi-disciplinary educational experience in which the museum staff both invites students into the museum to use it as an educational resource; but additionally, T.E.A.M. serves as an outreach to area schools after the visit if desired. In the museum, we offer first-person storytelling, slide presentations, story time, scavenger hunts, and hands-on examination of certain collections, depending on the age. Call the museum for full details of how the museum can benefit your school, your classroom, and your students.
