The degree in Health Services Administration (HSA) is designed to enhance the ability of clinicians to successfully launch administrative career and to strengthen the delivery of health services to consumers.
If you
- have an interest in health care, but beyond or in addition to clinical work

- How can I combine my job duties with academic requirements?
The HSA program is targeted at working professionals. Classes are offered in a flexible schedule at night or during weekends allowing students to earn up to 27 credits per academic year while fulfilling their full time work responsibilities and tending to family business.
- Where can I find employment after graduation?
Typical after graduation employment include managerial positions in hospitals or outpatient facilities, health-insurance companies, long term care organizations, state and local departments of health, and consulting firms. - How many credits from my previous education can I transfer?
LCN's transfer policy will take your previous course work into consideration. This means students may have significant transfer credits applied to the HSA provided that body of work is satisfactorily completed at either a regionally accredited college or university or at an instructional institution in which the program is accredited by the recognized accrediting agency for that profession.
- I have many years of professional experience. Will any credit be allowed towards coursework for those years?
You can earn up to 6 credit hours for prior learning which would be applied to your professional internship requirement. Our Prior Learning Assessor will work with you to determine if credits can be granted. Read more about our Prior Learning Assessment.

With a strong foundation in business, the curriculum covers an extensive range of health care topics, including health care systems, policy, human resources management, marketing, law, finance, ambulatory care management, quality improvement and others. Review course descriptions.
